Becoming a Pikes Peak Makerspace member is easy! 😉

Step (1) Take our New Member Orientation Quiz

Our orientation quiz is written with leading questions designed to guide your learning. The answer to each question will be in our wiki or on our website, and should be pretty easy to find. By answering each question after you’ve found the answer, you will demonstrate to us that you have learned the things we need our members to know. If you pass the quiz with a score of 70% or better, that will be good enough to proceed to the next step. Go take the test now, if you’d like to get started!

Step (2) Sign our waiver form

We have a standard waiver form for members, acknowledging that you understand and agree to follow the rules and safety protocols for our makerspace. After you pass the New Member Orientation Quiz, you’ll receive an automated email with a link to sign our waiver online. We can’t give you a membership card until you’ve signed the waiver.get started!

Step (3) Choose a membership level and sign up through our Optix app

We use Optix to manage many features for our members, including monthly or annual membership payments. When you’re ready, you can click the button here to open our Optix web widget and select the membership level and payment cycle that you prefer. Once you have set up automatic payments and completed the sign-up process in Optix, look out for a confirmation email with links for each of the further steps.

Final Steps: Download the Optix app, accept your invitation to our Slack workspace, and schedule a time to pick up your RFID access card

Slack is the official communication solution for PPM. It makes it easy to reach out to other members, report any problems, or share what you’ve been working on! It’s not mandatory, but it makes communication much easier for us.

Once you’ve completed the sign-up process in Optix, you should receive an automated email with a download link for the Optix app, a direct link to join our slack workspace, and a link to our online scheduling form where you can select a time to pick up your RFID access card.

After completing these simple steps, you will be an official member of Pikes Peak Makerspace!

Membership grants access to all of our Level 1 tools and equipment. Read our Wiki to find out how to get training and/or certification for our Level 2 and Level 3 tools and equipment.

How Does It Work?

Refer a friend to join PPM. They must be a new member. Current or previous members do not qualify.
When they sign up and secure payment for their first month, you AND your friend receive one free class. (CNC excluded)
After they have been a paying member for three months, you receive ONE FREE month of membership!
When your friend signs up for membership, you must notify us within 15 days to receive your reward.
